Exclamation sheriff office

I started working at the sheriff office in october. My husband was in their jail for driving with suspended license. I seldom visited him, but while he was locked up I had his child. I went to see him so he could see his child. I got hired by the sheriff office and all of a sudden, they have a problem with me being married to him tell me I couldn't live with him and can't have contact with him-- my husband. they have a rule saying you can't live with a convicted felon, which i wasn't aware of because of a crime he commited as a juvenile. I is not written in the policy manual, they have division head who brothers and sons get locked up every other week at their jail. on the application they have a spot for spousal information and I didn't not hide anything. They had all the information to check info on my husband. From day one i was constently harassed about my husband, people being told to keep "tabs" on me.... they have recorded lines and i knew that. My husband and I are separated right now but gets alone very well. He had our kids, I called on the phone to check up on them... the conversation ended in "I LOVE YOU - I LOVE YOU TOO" , I got called in the office and they had a CD with me talking on the phone telling my husband that. we were not living together at the time and based on that phone call they came up with I was living with him. People their knew more about my husband than I did.. .... Not one time my job performance came up. Everything been about my husband..... another incident came up when I filled out my post cert form. I had worked for another sheriff office and didn't list it on my application because I was working under a program that got me the job under a volunteer service. I put that service down on my app. thinking it would cover that job. they fired me for that saying I lied on my application. during the process of termination, the man gave me the option to resign or get terminated.... I said i didn't do anything wrong so I am not resigning.... he terminated me and brought up the thing about my husband again..... what does this have to do with my job performance? I was on probation.... from oct - feb they have been tring to find something to fire me for...... can they do this...they also told me they can fire me for any reason under probation.

Default Re: sheriff office

You may want to first file a complaint with the chief of the dept (or have us do so if you wish) . The heads of the dept's are required to investigate these kinds of problems and normally will do so--file directly with him or her and do so in writing...if that does not work, let us know.
