termination of employment in at-will state

Even though Georgia is an at-will state and an employer does not have to give a reason for termination, can an employer legally state that the reason was unprofessional behavior in and out of the workplace, because they were told by a third party that this person was seen participating in a LEGAL activity outside of work ? The activity in question was dancing half-naked at a 21+ admittance only bike rally. Since the Employer can fire for no reason is this reason slander? Up until the firing there were no complaints of unprofessional behavior at work or away from work for that matter.

They may say anything truthful or they believe to be truthful
