I hope I'm posting this in the right place...
I work 3rd shift in a group home caring for 8 gentlemen. My co worker is a very combative & confrontational woman who is frequently looking for a fight and harassing me. I have informed my boss about this more than once and turned in several pages of writing about it. I have missed three nights of work so far with out pay due to the emotional strain of working with this woman and I am now taking my three personal days until my boss gets back from her vacation. It’s just this women and I on the night shift with the 8 sleeping gentlemen. Nothing to interrupt these verbal harassment's or soften their impact! If I leave the job when an attack occurs then I don't get paid or I may get it for abandoning the guys! I'm still waiting to see if my boss plans to do anything about it but this has been ongoing and nothing has been done so far. This woman has a history of being this way with everyone she has ever worked with! The very thought of going back into work with her makes me ill. The boss continues to schedule us together and just asks us to talk / work it out! I'm a single mother who needs my job. I have my house payment, bills etc... But I’m afraid I will have to quit over this. I have been there 7 yrs...Is there any protection for someone in my shoes? Thank you for any feedback on this, I greatly appreciate it! |

Unfortunately it is not illegal that she is so bad,
Talk to her supervisors and yours but if they will not help resolve you cannot take legal action--you have to quit--or threaten to, or simply ignore her in every way possible. |
