Confused wrongful termination

I think i have a case, here's the story. I work in a department store, a few weeks ago i had a woman and her friend come in, she lived a good 100 miles+ outside of town. she had already been all over town looking for a good deal on tv's she was willing to buy 2 if there was anyway she could get a discount, i told her i would have to speak with a supervisor or a manager before i can commit to anything. so i talked to a supervisor and he said no, the ladies had some shopping to do in the rest of the store. durring this time the assistant manager of the store came in and i asked him, because the lady was gonna buy 2 tv's. he said 10% discount would be fine. so when i saw the lady again i told her she agreed, and bought 2 tv's a 32" and a 19" lcd, she bought the extended warrenty on the 32" because it constituted in-home repair for 3 years.
then a week later i had a lady come in looking for an MP3 player that we had advertised in our ad, well we didn't have it, it was supposed to be a new product that the manufacter couldn't deliver on by the date needed so we were sent down an e-mail saying to sub things out. we didn't have anything within price-range of the product she was looking for so i gave her $10 off a different model, which was the lowest sale price with-in the past 90 days. the customer bought the extended warrenty cause this would be the 2nd MP3 player her husband has gone through in the past 2 years or so.
A few weeks after this i was called by the corprate office, questioned and told i was being investigated for marking things down for the extended warrenty. then a week and a half later i was called up to the office, givin a written termination. well i called the head of HR for the district here and talked to him about things, then he came back the next day and said, we reviewed it and your right we were wrong however we are not gonna give your job back because you marked down product bought in bulk and we don't do this, Even though my assistant manager actually approved the mark-down plus told me that was a great sale. so basically i got papers telling me i was fired for a reason they now say is actually false however they are comming up with new charges, is this a base for wrongful termination?

If you did not have authority to do this, it would be reason to fire-- and to deny unemployment benefits.

It is not quite clear to me but seems you did not have authority for this. Even if you thought it was a good thing, it is reason to terminate.

they actually came back and told me that was fine and i'm cleared of any wrong doing for that, because they openly admitted it was the company at fault for this, because they did send down an e-mail stating to sub things out for the product we were to get. and they proved that i didn't mark down tv's for the extended as well their reason for now not giving me my job back is because we don't mark down product because a person is buying in bulk, even though the assistant manager of the store said it was ok, came over put his key in and approved the discount, and even congragulated me for making a "great sale"
