wrongful termination in oklahoma
sept. 2007 I was placed on involuntary medical leave. I filed charges with the eeoc under ada law. After 6 months I was offered my job back with a new job discription to meet my disabilty.(fork lift operator) In return I had to drop all charges. I was told by h/r and by my supervisior that there would be no hard feelings or retalation against me. When I went back to work everyone was so nice, except the plant manager. the first three months he would not even look at me. he had other employees spy on me ,then report back to him.Well after three months I guess he thought enough time had passedso It would not look like retailation. He started writting me up for things like pulling the dock door down too fast. this was a final warning even though I had not been written up before. well sept 9 2008 I was called into the office and suspended until futher notice for two near misses on the forklift. I asked when did this happen? I was told a week ago. I asked if this was so serious, how come I was not pulled off right away? they said I took that long to investigate. I was not allowed to defend myself or tell my side. Well Sept. 16 2008 I get a phone call from in house H/R telling me that I was termated. This has never happened to any one else. Very seldom does anyone even get written up.I belive that my plant manager is behind all of this, because I filed an eeoc charge. Do you think I have A case? I know I have to file with eeoc first.and then get a right to sue letter. thanks
