34 years
i have worked at this horse track for 30 yrs. plus it has been from anywhere from 4 months a year to 10 months a year - from 27 hrs to 42 hours a week
in1994 i was layed off for season and when my immediate supervisor died i was not invited back.four years later under new ownership i was invited back to see if i could get it back to working order .that was 1999 i worked for them p/t till they opened a casino on grounds .sothis year they decided to lay me off and classify me as re-hire .when 4 months later i was asked to redo application as 90 days had passed
now on the application i was asked if i had been convicted of a crime and i answered no (because adjudication withheld).they rescinded offer saying i lied on application .under advice i called state prosecutor and asked if i answered correctly .they agreed with me saying that companies do this often.
i recently called them telling what state prosecutor said about not being convicted.i left phone # saying to let me know what paperwork i needed to show them. they have not returned my call as of yet 1 week
does any body know of a form or document to have signed by state of florida saying conviction withheld.any direction is gratefully appreciated.i believe that now that a casino has opened there they now have no care about the horse racing ,but to me it is still a job that i loved
