Question Fired and now...

I was fired, for "bad attitude, from xyz company on Feb 15th this company specializes in computer technology and outsourcing and immediately filed for UEC (unemployment compensation), i was denied for the first round of UEC, and have since filed an appeal.

The appeal is coming up this Wednesday and i have a friend and a brother that still work from the company.

I have heard lately that there has been an investigation within my former company and they have ask allot of questions about my current activities, what types of software and other things such as...

Including where all my copies of Windows, and other software came from. Including allegations that i stole, their CD KEY for windows vista and am now currently trying to sell that to my friend that works there.

When in fact the conversation between him and i did offer to sell him a cd key but it was not theirs it was from a company online where i could get much cheaper than xyz company could sell if for.

It is my belief that they are trying to stir things up so that i back down from the UEC appeal and not show up. It is also to my understanding that NO ONE has every in the history of xyz company filed an appeal for UEC.

My questions are very basic:

Can they file legal charges against me for the cd key thing or anything else now 3 months after i was fired? If so will they search my house?

The reason i am worried is I (Like many other Americans) have some music that is not gotten through itunes, should i get rid of it to be safe?

do you feel this is just a type of harassment?

if you have any more question post here and i will respond,
Thanx for all the help in advance.

Default Re: Fired and now...

Unless you took their property somehow, they really cannot do anything to you at this point.
