Supervisor
Can an employer get sued for accusing a staff member of having a Passive-Aggressive attitude towards other staff and supervisor? Is it a bad idea to use that word along with examples of the behavior? This was written along with other concerns in a formal warning and sent to the staff member (who happens to be a counselor) via e-mail. This staff refuses to meet with me to discuss anything and so I emailed the formal warning to her. Now my boss is concerned about a law suit for labeling her as passive-aggressive and because this staff member now has this in writing. Should we be concerned?
