Does my adult son qualify for permanent State mental health facility?
My 21 years old son has a chronic mental disability. I've been resident of my state (South Florida) for 2 years but my son lives in another state because of his condition. Doctors are reccommending a permanent facility but I cannot afford it. I'm afraid to go directly to Family Services and get NO for an answer. What can I do to make the State provide for his permanent residential treatment? Do I need a lawyer? Can you provide a resource in South Florida to help me?
