I have just found out that my husbands last employer cancelled our insurance 15 days before they were supposed too - meaning we were uninsured for 15 days in October of 2005.
I have recently had claims rejected from another insurance company - and have been asked to provide proof of credible coverage - for a 1 year period of time prior to a recent surgery. How will this 15 days affect my pre-existing condition? I have been reading everywhere that it shouldn't as long as you were under 63 days of not being insured....but, I'm looking for some assurance. Thanks in advance. |

It should not but if need be, based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
