PLEASE HELP ME!Doctor threatened to disclose HIV status to my son without my consent!

Hello. I feel very blessed to have found this free forum that I pray can help me. First you need to know that I reside in Texas. I took my son to his ID Doctor today and was ambushed by his asssitant and then by the Dr.. She said if I did not disclose to my son his HIV status, they would. Is that allowed in Texas Law? If it is, at what age is this allowed? What is Texas Law regarding this issue? Does the parent not have the right to choose what is best for their child and when?
PLEASE HELP ME. I cannot stop crying and don't want to upset him.

They do not have the right to force you to tell him. File a complaint with their licensing Board if need be.

Thank you so much for your reply. How do I find the licensing board you speak of? Can you direct me to a place where I can print out that in Texas, it is against the law for a Doctor and/or Nurse to disclose the HIV status to a patient against their parents wishes? Is there an age limit where this makes it so and if so, what is that age limit? PLEASE! I spoke to the Patient Relations person of the hospital and they said that after speaking with their Legal Team, they said there is NO LAW that stops a Doctor/Nurse from disclosing their Patients HIV status even if the parents do not agree with it. I WISH I had the money to pay for a lawyers legal help in answering this question as I know there services are so very valuable, but my husband passed away before our three children were 2 years old and I am supporting them on Social Security alone. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, HELP ME? May God bless one and all that help me get the evidence to STOP these people from violating the God Given Rights Of Parents! VERY ANXIOUSLY AWAITING YOUR REPLY PLEASE.

You may want to email world law direct on their home page and get a specific Texas lawyer to help you, perhaps if possible even with that 9.95 service. They may give you some citations etc.

...you could also try contacting local HIV assistance groups and they often have good knowledge of the local laws on disclosure etc.

Thank you all who have been so kind as to reply. I am becoming so depressed over this issue! I am also very ill and it is DRAINING ME! I have been throwing up, can't sleep, can't eat! I've tried contacting so many places and yet no reply, even from the places that say they will do it online for free. I CONSTANTLY PRAY for an email that will just tell me, "Yes, Texas law says that until the age of (__) a parent has the right to decide when to tell their child their HIV status. It is found in (_) and if they push it they can be sued." I need to resolve this before it finishes me physically off. Can someone out there please help me?
