Default undiagnosed MRSA

My best friend had several reoccurring MRSA episodes over the past year. Last week she died after feeling sick for 2 weeks. She had been to the ER twice over the 3 days before her death. The first visit they said she had a severe urinary tract infection. The second time she had contracted a rash. No tests were done, she was just told it was shingles. She was a diabetic, no one ever checked her blood or sugar at these visits. Autopsy showed that it was actually MRSA. Being a diabetic with a history of MRSA, her family and I were upset that no one drew blood at the ER. If they had, it would have been found and she would've been treated and may be here today. Her husband is persueing a lawsuit against the doctors in the ER. I was just wondering what you thought of the success of this. I've been reading a lot about unseccessful lawsuits but this is a little different.
