Confused Bleeding & C section delivery

from Hospital in Canada.

Baby was breech positioned - and in the final ultrasound (done in wk 36 (due date Oct 21)) it was overlooked that the placenta was over the cervix - so C section should've been scheduled for much earler. Also turning the baby manually shouldn't have been sugested (as it was - but I declined, so c/s was scheduled as close to due date as possible - 1 day prior to, Oct 20).

A day before scheduled c/s I got massive bleeding at 2am (towels were soaked in blood) and was rushed to hospital via 911 and c/s was performed (good thing my 6 yrs old daughter was asleep so she didn't see all the blood all over the place, bedroom, bathroom, carpet etc). Their worried faces spoke volumes. That's when the Dr. informed me that on the ultrasound it was overlooked that placenta was above the cervix - and things should've been done differently to prevent this dangerous bleeding. Luckuly all went good & me and baby are fine.

Just curious whether I qualify for any compensation? - even though the outcome of this case is fortunate and we're both OK?

Thank you so much!
