Man Scams Drugs From Pharmacies For Over 30 Years by Impersonating Cop

Washington: Former truck driver Ronald R. Johnson, 50, was arrested for conning a pharmacy out of Oxycontin worth $400 last October by walking in dressed as a K-9 officer with his pet German shepherd. Officials say he's been at it for over 30 years.

The "officer" would say that he needed painkillers. Arlington Police Chief John Gray said, "There's wannabes, but this guy has taken it way off. He has represented himself many times as a police officer, a firefighter, even a Coast Guard member."

Johnson got away most recently with the Oxycontin when he said he'd go out and get cash from his car after his credit card wouldn't work. He's attempted his con in four different states, even getting some of the physicians to write him prescriptions.
