My company wants me to move into US next year and is going to help me with my visa.
Before everything will start I'd like to know more about the application. Can anyone tell me how does it look like? What forms will be needed? What forms does company fill for me? What am I responsible for? How long does it take? How many times do I have to visit Embassy? What can I expect during meetings there? How does CRB check look like? Will I be checked only in the US or also in the UK? My work is not connected with children at all - so will there actually be any check on homeland side? I will appreciate any help as it's a big thing for me. |

I wish to inform you that you will have to file Form I- 129 with USCIS along with supporting documents that your company meet all the requirements. After your Form I-129 is approved then USCIS will send you Notice of Action in Form I-797. You will then go to embassy and have your L-1 visa marked. Embassy official can refuse visa if he feels that there is a fraud or some condition is not met.

My company wants me to move into US next year and is going to help me with my visa. The L-1 visa is a temporary non-immigrant visa which allows companies to relocate foreign qualified employees to its US offices. L-1 visas can also be used by multi-national companies. When a multi-national company is developing a new market in another country, it may become necessary to have some employees with specialized knowledge work in the newly established office.
