Singaporean B1 visa to H1B1

I am Singapore Citizen. My place of birth is China. I am an IT professioal having 5 years experience with a Master degree. A US employer wants to hire me and need me to start work there urgently. So the plan is B1 --> H1B1 --> H1B. I have below questions regarding the status.

1. Would it be possible if I come to work in a US company on B1 Visa first and they pay me salary in Singapore? They can setup a Singapore Branch and process my payroll there.

2. In the same time, while i am in US on B1 status, they start the petition for my H1B1, can I convert my status from B1 to H1B1 while I am in US?

3. My US employer is a small company of 4 to 5 employees providing IT solutions. Can they file H1B application for me?

I wish to inform you that you may convert your status from B1 to H1B1 but in this regard you will first have to show that while going to USA you were having an intention to do business. Further every change of visa requires you to justify that you had taken visa with the purpose to fulfill that visa. Further for H1B1 visa you will require to show professional skill for which H1B1 may be granted to you.
