TWO H1B PENDING, SINCE LAST YEAR

Hi,

H1B VISA expired Feb 2008, Applied Feb 2008 premium processing, still pending. Applied extension of this previous H1B again Jan 2009 still pending....Need to travel to Canada. Is there a way back from Canada while I wait for approvals? I have approved I-140 April 2008.

Normally it is not a good idea to travel while the visa is still pending. They don't havwe to let you back in.

The Jan 2009 application shd be resolved by now or shortly--check with them to see what is happening. Your lawyer can check in as well.

I hope so. Have been asking them but not a satisfactory response.
