Question H1B-employment change

I am from Taiwan and got my Mater's degree on Accounting in the States. I have been working for my current company for 2.5 years. The first year, I was working as a staff accountant-entry level. Starting from 10/01/2007, I have been working as an accounting manager as that is the position that the company used when they applied H1-B for me. I don't have any accounting related experience before I came to the States.

The company that I am currently working for plans to begin my Green Card application, but it seems that I cannot use those 2.5 years of work experience as my expereince (because I gain those 2.5 years from this current comapny). My questions are:

1) If my current company files a status change of my H1B (for instance, promote me from Accounting Manager to Senior Accounting Manager) and if the status change is approved, can I use those 2.5 years as work expereince while applying for Green Card?

2) If my current company files a H1B status change application, say, my company decides to promote me to Senior Accounting Manager which requires a Master's degree on accounting, do you think the status change has the chance to be approved?

Thanks,

Joseph

You are required to leave the country immediately.

You are occupying a job that out of work U.S. workers need.

There are enough U.S. accountants.
