Default Green Card-Typo in Gender

Can I travel with a gender's typo in my GC? The Gender should be "M" and not "F" .

Better to get it fixed before you leave.

They can do so asap--get legal counsel involved if need be.

Did you ever get it fixed, i'm asking because i submitted a I-90 form 3 year ago and it is still pending. I've traveled in and out the use many time and never got a problem so far. I wonder if i can get away with this while applying for citizenship, if i send another I-90 is almost $300 that i will have to pay and god knows if they will get back to me again.
