Entered US on Visa Waiver - Can I get married?
Hi,
if I enter the US on a Visa Waiver Program, can I almost immediately get married to a US citizen and then adjust the status? Is this risky? I am a EU Citizen, I don't understand if, to get married in the US to a US citizen, I have to go through the K-1 visa or I can simply enter the US on the visa waiver program. Any color on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gino |

You can if you did not enter with any intent to marry--ie it just happened while you here
...and they will check...so best not to lie |
