Curious Friend
My friends husband won Romanian lottery to come to US. Husband, wife, child came about 4 months ago. They are living with a sponsor family. They all have received social security cards and 10 year permanent resident cards. Said husband missed Romania and went back yesterday. What implications are there for the wife and child still here? Does she need to make any changes to the permanent resident status to stay here with her daughter? We have had a family member (not of the law profession) tells us her staying with the daughter is criminal. Is that true?
