Default F-1 student to Green Card // AOS

Hi, Everyone.

My father was approved for interview for green card. Tha package includes him, my mother and me. The interview is scheduled for November 19th, 2008 in Sofia, Bulgaria. My parents live there.
Right now I am in the United States under F-1 status valid until May 2010, when I am supposed to finish my Bachelors.

My question is: Should I go home for an interview along with my parents or do AOS here in the US? Is it true that if I am denied a green card back in Bulgaria, the embassy will take my F-1 visa and not let me enter the US under F-1 status, which means that I risk my education?

Main issue is that I will turn 21 on November 8th this year. If my father gets approved and I apply for AOS after /when I will be over 21 for sure/, does this mean that there is no chance that I will get approval for GC?

Thanks!
~ Anna

I would confirm your detauls with an immigration lawyer but you normally don't have to go all the way back for that if you are legally here now.

Thanks for your reply. I am totally legal here. However, the only reason is that I am reaching 21 and they might make a problem because of that.
