american husband working out of country wife has green card

I am an American working in China. My Chinese wife has a green card. How long can she say out of the u.s. without losing her card? Does it make a difference that i, the husband, am working out of the country? Is there a risk here to her card?

I am not sure 100% sure.
But I think it is up to a year.

I think the best thing is to talk to immigration and explain your situation.

You have to come in to the states at least ONCE per year and stay for a good period of time, or else it will be taken back.

The reason is that you don't come here enough you will be considered as no intention to stay in US.

My Cousin got green card for 15 years. recent 5 years he went to Asia to help his family business and only come back once a year , stay less than 6 weeks per year. two months ago his green card was taken away when he entered LA.
