Default Need advice Re: Obstruction of Justice by 'Internal Affairs'

Need Advice ASAP:
I have been trying to press Criminal Charges against a Broward County (Fort Lauderdale, FL. USA) sheriff deputy who: 1.) illegally entered a water-front condo {no warrant, no probable cause, etc}, 2.) committed violent Assault on his victim, 3.) committed Criminal Vandalism, 4.) committed False Imprisonment {hand-cuffing with no warrant}, 5.) committed multiple counts of Obstruction of Justice, etc., etc., etc..

I have officially filed this complaint earlier LAST YEAR with Broward County 'Internal Affairs'. Their 'Internal Affairs' office started to communicate with me for a couple months {last year} but never answered any of my questions Re: how do I press charges from outside the U.S. {where I'm safe from their notorious retaliation}. To my horror I recently learned that my only (very) credible witness had never been contacted - and their family had moved away. This is alarmingly Obstruction of Justice on top of other sheriff employee crimes and Civil Rights Violations.

I feel that I am being illegally ignored by Broward County 'Internal Affairs'- and also feel now that I need to press Criminal Charges against their 'Internal Affairs' office for Organised Obstruction of Justice.

What does such a victim as I do in this case? Is it time to go to the FBI ?? Will someone please respond? Please no spam or offers for services which a crime victim should not have to 'pay' for to make justice transpire unless a truly competent attorney is willing to take this case on a contingency basis. Thank you!

Yes you can also inform the FBI.

If it is really that clear a private lawyer might also take the case and seek damages.

Internal Affairs investigations are notorious of being pro police and if I recaqll correctly, Broward County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs is staffed entirely by Broward County cops.

Obstruction of justice is only applicable when a police or other authority is conducting an investigation and the person or body does not comply, conceals or destroys evidence, etc. It is not applicable to complaints by a private party.

Yes, contacting the FBI is a good idea, "Special Investigations" unit in Washington, D.C. for that is the unit that investigates state officials and state governmental bodies. They have a couple of investigations going on now in Southern Florida, Miami-Dade and I believe, either Palm Beach County or Broward. Certain about the first, but memory may be defective on the second.

You need representation by a civil rights lawyer to press you case. This is a personal injury matter, probably civil rights violation. The civil rights act provides for attorneys fees to plaintiffs who prevail and exemplary (punitive) damages as well. So most lawyers will take on a contingency.

You may find a civil rights lawyer on this site or may contact the ACLU who may have someone in Broward County willing to help.
