Confused Massachusetts: Is calling a tip into the police really confidential?

I was looking at the newspaper the other day in my city. I recognized the picture of a person whom the police were asking for help in identifying. They asked to call a tip line with information. I called and they caught the person and charged them with armed robbery. I am scared that they will play the tape in court at their trial and the person will identify me by my voice. Are the police allowed to play your voice on the tape after asking for the public's help in identifying a criminal they want help capturing after they go to court at their trial. We do know each other and they will know it's me if so, this scares me.
