Swiss postal bank

Is that bank trustworthy and safe and if I am moving there can I feel secure with my funds there? Or do I need one of the major name banks?

My employer is direct depositing as the postal bank.

Yes it is commonly used but these days you have to reside in Switzerland or in of the neighboring countries to have an account there.

It is run by the government -- unlike the major Swiss banks.
