Confused plurality or not plurality

There are questions which tickles my mind. These questions are electoral questions. Ok. Granted for the sake of argument, that only one candidate is running in the presidential election. So, is plurality voting applicable in this situation? Or is majority voting the most appropriate? Even the sole candidate himself can vote himself to victory. So will that one vote be called popular voting? Is that vote be a representative of the entire population? Was that democracy? For the essence of democracy is through majority ruling. Is majority voting the best option for the single candidate election? Thank you.

Default Re: plurality or not plurality

Hmmm...would seem to me they all apply if only one candidate.
