For the past years I've helped people in Southern California on the weather forecasting and help side.
I run a non profit org at OWSweather.com for forecasting the weather in the area. I have documented proof that National Weather Service in Southern California has put the public in danger, including the LACK of fire weather watches when they were NEEDED... The last one was April 27, 2008 Santa Ana Winds hit the area, and not one fire watch went out. NOT ONE. We at OWSweather.com had this up to warn the public. NWS is being paid tax money to stay in operation to serve. We are not. I would like to be my own lawyer and take NWS to court on a lawsuit civil for the public. I want to win the money needed to start up OWSweather.com offices to better serve the public in the area. NWS just doesn't know the climate here good enough. I don't trust yahoos from out of state to forecast my climate area. Can this be done? Kevin |

That will be difficult for you to file such suit frankly. For many reasons...local lawyers could discuss with you if want to address it further.
You might be better off showing legislators the problem and offering your solutions--they may back you. |
