I wish to inform you that you may contact USCIS to locate your file. You may provide them with your details and the details of your sponsor. Once the details are located, under the provisions of Pub. L. 107-150 amended INA 213A(f)(5) an alternative sponsor may be appointed in the case of the death of the petitioner if the Attorney General has determined for humanitarian reasons that the petition should not be revoked. The alternative sponsor can be the spouse, parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sibling, son, daughter, son-in-law or daughter-in-law of the beneficiary.
