Default Abandon GC, How do I get it back? I was living in France.

I have been married to an American citizen for almost 10 years but the last 2 1/2 years I have mostly been living in France (with few trips to the States during that Time), i had a first son born in NC 5 years ago and an other one born in France a little over a year ago...
My problem is that Apparently because i have been living in France for so long my GC is now considered abandonned (never was surrunded) but now ready to go back to live in the States and have my family reunited (myhusband has been in America almost the all time) i wonder how CAN i get my GC valid again?
CAN someone please help us?

I wish to inform you that you may be required to have a returning resident visa if you have been outside the USA for a period of one year. You may apply at the US embassy in France for a SB-1 visa. You will be interviewed twice - at the time of the filing of the application and at the time of grant of the immigrant visa. A medical examination will also be required, therefore, visa processing fees and medical fees will need to be paid. You will need to show your bank accounts in the USA, filing of US tax return, family ties, etc. You may show that your continued stay in France was for reasons beyond your control (birth of son).
