B-2 recently Married

Hi Im very new to the visa/immigration world. Ive done alot of research but for whatever reason Im still confused.

Im a US citizen whom recently married a B-2 visa holder from Japan. Their intention was to visit me and to study music and entertainment privately. Their visa expires at the end of February. We talked about marriage then decided we didnt want to be apart anymore and got married a week ago.

My question is Would an AOS be our next step. And what is the proper form I need to file. Or am i missing a critical step? Any advice or specific links would be of great help.

Im a student so I cant afford a immigration lawyer
