I came to the US on a student visa, maintained my student status, graduated in May and applied for Graduate school before graduation.
I now have a new 1-20 and taking summer courses. And am enrolled for the fall semester.Am planning to go back to my homecountryto visit an ailing relative during the 2 weeks december holidays. My visa expired 3 years ago but my 1-20 has been valid all this time.My department sponsors my 1-20 How difficult will it be for me to obtain a new visa? Could I go to the mexican/canadian border to apply for a new visa before I make the trip? What happens if my visa applicatio is denied and am stuck at the canadian/mexican border? THANKS. |
