Confused We Need Help For Our Friend

We have a friend who is being severely emotionally and verbally abused by his mother. She is now trying to make him go to his father who has been severely physically abusive. I am trying to find out if there is any way he can leave both of them without any repercussions. C.P.S has been involved several times in the past and nothing has been done. He cant take much more. Please help us!! We live in Indiana.

If he is still a minor, no he cannot leave. The only thing that he can do is to go to CPS for help.

The fact that CPS has been involed and hasn't done anything maybe someone could go to the local state attorney's office and ask for soome help there. But also have him start telling his teacher's and keep calling CPS.

and the fact is if he comes live with you without permission, YOU can face criminal charges-harboring a runaway, contributing to a minor, custodial interference etc
