Not married to this woman, we got into a disagreement, I told her I was leaving, so we both raced to the door. I put my arm up, she ran into it, and bumped her ear. She then bit me twiced. She then called police, her son called police, said I had a 22 gun pointed at everyone. This part was not true. The police came, because it was domestic, of course, someone had to go to jail. The officer came in, ask about gun, I told him, it was in gun safe, which she has key for. Anyways, I was put in jail. It is mentioned in report, I had bit marks from her, she had "minor injury". The truck is on a loan with her as primary borrower, me as co signer. She won't let me have the truck, says I can't have it until the loan is paid off. She did agree that my dad could come get my stuff. He first went, got what he could, told her, he would be back for stuff out of truck, cb, his toolbox, etc and so on. She said something about the toolbox, so he told her, that was his, and it is. He actually bought it about 15 years ago and was letting me use it since he has rino cover on his truck, so can't use it. She told him that night, it would be fine. He went back next day, she had sent it to her brother's house. This way, nothing from the truck, I can get. She says I owe for half of all the bills, where she has child support coming in, (shouldn\'t it be divided 3 ways for household expenses?) What bills am I actually liable for? She has sued
several ex\'s in the past for the same thing. What are my legal avenues? What of "mine" am I actually intitled to and can expect to get? |

If two or more owners cannot agree on what to do with a piece of property, or even their property generally, they may petition the court and the court will order a sale or refinancing etc. so that the one or more may get out of the property obligation and/or the other(s) may keep it etc.--it is often done-- (This is true in some cases even for equitable owners that have paid various amounts etc., but for various reasons, may not be on title.) You could threaten to take this action if need be.
