My first husband died recently. We were married for more than ten years, we were divorced and he remarried eight years ago and his wife is, of course, his legitimate widow and she has a claim on his pension plan account. He was retired from private industry. Is it possible that in Florida I might also have a legitimate claim on his pension plan account?

Yes but normally that would have been addressed at the time you divorced--you may want to examine the agreement again and see if the issue was addressed; if it was not, then chances are substantially lowered that you could make a claim now.
