Default Aunt and Nephew Marriage -- United States, Canada

Me and nephew have been dating secretly for the past two years. We are planning on marriage... We are only half related though. My brother is only my half, and my nephew is only a forth (or so i think). We both live in the US and need to know where it is legal for us to get married. We wish to stay in the US, but I've heard that its legal in almost every place in Canada to get married. We could use any help we can get. We curently live in Idaho, and I for sure know it is illegal for us to be married here. Him and I share the same last name, so I dont know if that effects anything.

I appreciate any answers! -adaytoremember

I wish to inform you that in USA law varies with the state in which marriage is being planned to be done. Generally marriage between aunt and nephew is not allowed in many US states. Further marriage may not also be performed in Canada. In this regard under Marriage (Prohibited Degrees) Act there cannot be a marriage between aunt and nephew in Canada. Therefore you may not marry in USA or Canada.

Your best bet is to move to Australia.
