Rights to spouse's settlement

My spouse and I have recently separated (in 2011). We got married in Texas. I beleive he is currently in Illinois. He had 2 settlements. He has already received payment from the first settlement, but when he left, he took almost all the money from the settlement out of our account, leaving me to pay all of our bills on my own. My spouse will soon be recieving monies from another settlement. Am I entitled to half of the money from either settlement since we are still married?

I wish to inform you that you have a right against your husband assets in divorce where all marital assets will be divided equitably between the spouses. As regards settlement amount may be taken by you if you can relate settlement amount to marital assets.

What if the settlement is not completed until after the divorce is final?
