My mother has custody of my daughter and is not allowing me to see her
My mother has custody of my 9 year old daughter and is not allowing me to see her.In May of last year I was served with a doctor's note stating that my daughter was suicidal and visitation was to be suspended until further notice.In the past year I have been allowed to see my daughter 3 times.I have spoken to a lawyer in regards to this and she notified me that my mother was in contempt because she never got a court order to stop my visitation.I was wondering if there was any way I could go about getting access again without having to go through a court battle?

You don't need a court battle--the order is valid and even the police will escort you to enforce it. She needs to get it changed if she has a problem with it.
