i filied abadonment on my daughters father what happens when he doesnt show up

Default i filied abadonment on my daughters father what happens when he doesnt show up

so the hearing is tonight he lives in indiana and i live in georgia we've been apart for about 6 months we were never married and the judge said he already had no rights but after this does that mean he won't be able to get a lawyer and get any type of custody or what im so confused

Normally courts prefer to allow some contact if at all possible without harming the child.
