How to get restaining order canceled?

My boyfriend got domestic violence against me, And has restraining order it\'s not stay away but we need to remove or lift it. We went to court and got denied. The judge says she would if the law allows it. But the DA found something in the law book not sure what because they wrote down the code wrong. He said that the restraining order should be there until the probation ends.
