divorce in Japan valid in USA
Friends filed for divorce in Japan. I understand their divorce is recognized in the US, but her husband is refusing to file for divorce in the US and claims they are still married in the US. ???

If they both agreed the divorce in Japan it is valid already in the USA.
She should proceed as if it is. He can file in court if he disagrees, and he will lose. |
