Question getting pregnant w/o concent

The man who left his wife for me moved in 2 months ago. I was told...while going through marital issues still at home with the wife... she became pregnant via artificial incimination. They decided 6 yrs earlier to have him give a donation and keep it in case something were to happen do to his job ( police officer)
She went and had the incimination done with out his knowledge or concent. Is this legal? Can she do that without him knowing? He says it is the truth, but I have my doubts. Any legal help in this area?

Normally the clinic needs to have and verify his consent at some point.

But it is possible perhaps it occurred in the past??

Unless their divorce order stated that after the divorce she was not to use his sperm, she can do this. He obviously did this of his own accord. The issue of her doing it without his consent after the divorce may be a gray area of the law that warrants attention.

He may wish to fight it in court on the grounds that his sperm was only to be used in the case of his death and that she has used it for purposes other than that. It sounds like a way to keep him in her life. He should contact an attorney. This sounds convoluted.
