Unhappy Domestic battery

I am in reno Nevada, I called the police while am arguing with my husband intended to let him stay out of the house for the peace. I told the police i slap his face earlier that day, and they arrested me for domestic battery.after bailed out of jail, i got a court day at next week. My husband and me love each other so much. just a typical couple fight and I snap him, now am facing a crime charge. my question is

1)when I go to the court should I choose plea not guilty eventhrough I admitted to the police i slapped him?
2)I am not a US citizens,if i plea guilty, i will at the high risk at deportable.
3)what should I do to make the judge found me not guilty but i willing to go to counselor or other way?

my husband and me just argue like a child this time, and it slap him, it's my first time and we dont have any arrested or criminal records, and my husband's face just got a very minor injury, (his face and eye got a little be red) and the police took the picture.

Just a little physical assault today turns into a big assault tomorrow. Once a person starts getting physical, it usually escalates. You can minimize it all you want, but you will likely get a day or two jail time and a nominal fine.

People who love each other don't touch each other in an angry way.

Try speaking to the DA, or World Law lawyers could maybe do so for you.

The DA has the right to continue to pursue the case on their own (even if you don't want them to) but if they feel this was a one-time incident and will never happen again--they may drop it. They want to make sure no abuse is continuing if and when you two are back together.

If you're living in the country illegally, they can deport you, yes.
