imprisoning mother breastfeeding newborn
I went to court for child support and I had just had a premature baby (15 days before this court date) and am breastfeeding. I informed the court of this and they said they didn\'t care. I am now looking at 30 days in jail becuase I can not pay the 700 dollar purge. I heard there is a law about not inprisoning mothers breastfeeding newborn infants is this true?

Breast feeding is not a legitimate defense. There are mother in prison who breast feed.
No, there is currently no law that supports your defense. You're assumed to be able to provide alternate nutrition for your baby. |
