Unhappy Child support order advice: Can I avoid any back child support? - USA, UK

I just received a child support after supporting my daughter for the last 8 years. My "x" decided to take me to court because I decided to withhold money till i receive my daughter's last report card (she's 8 and have never seen one after asking for the last two years). She currently lives in NY while I reside in NC. I've been making western union cash payments and clothes purchase (of which I saved the receipts), my daughter has been on my medical/dental every year since she's been born therefore asking for a report card she be this big a task. She currently has a boyfriend who has been in/out of jail and ive been told he may be selling drugs where they live. In addition, a year ago child protective services contacted me as they were investigating her when someone called in against her. I can't prove any of the above at the moment other than what I know goes on. I can't afford to hire both an attorney or a private investigator to get actual proof. On top of that, I was trying to move back to NY to be closer to my daughter and mom (who is sick) but now I'm not sure if I can even afford living in NY while getting knocked up for about 700-800 a mth.

Now that I have to go to court, I want to know if I should hire an attorney or is it even worth hiring one? IF so,

Can I avoid any back child support I may be ordered to pay due to her being on welfare while I was sending her money (is that considered fraud as I was supporting my daughter? - I just recently found out) and just pay starting the petition start date?

Can a lawyer possibly reach an agreement with my "x" or welfare as to how much to pay every month?

Rico185 You should absolutely seek legal council. If you have reciepts proving this you are already one step ahead. Also if CPS contacted you before then that should be on record and your attorney should be able to obtain documentation. If you know the ex's social security number you can report her to Welfare. I mean if you are in fact sending money clothing etc...And she is recieving any cash assistance she will be forced to pay it back to the agency. As far as the drug thing you will need proof such as a video(with good quality picture) and the local DEA will take care of that situation once they are tipped off. I'm told from my own experience that regardless whom has custody that unless there is a restraining order-Your childs school should be able to allow you to see her grades. I wish you luck in your journey. It has just begun.

Default Divorce and child support international law

I am a mother from malaysia with a child of 8 months old baby boy who is a US citizen. I got married to my husband who is a US citizen serving in the military currently relocated based in arizona , I am supposed to go back to Malaysia with my baby just for holiday and my husband and i had some arguement on the phone and he decides to divorce me. At first, my husband said when i come back to the states, he will apply my greencard then as i still have my US tourists visa till 2011, currently he is only paying 300 usd a month and i am not entitle for spouse support he said because we were married less then a year, is this true? I had alot of difficulties ever since he asked for divorce in december last year.I am currently staying at mother house and had to pay bills too since i am staying here. I want to go back to the states, but i cant' afford at all with 300 usd is not even enough to cover my son health immunisation monthly as the insurance tricare only works in overseas as pay first then claim.I can't even get someone to take care of my son while i go out to find job.My husband was married twice before me and have no child. when i came back to malaysia with my son, he was only 2 months old, i feel this whole thing is so unfair and the only thing he said is that he has so much bills to pay and that is all he can afford it. I dont know anything about US family law , i can't afford for attorney in the states, people told me i have to pay.. please help me.. what can i do??

I live in the UK my Ex Wife is in the US I am having the worse time possible not being able to pay child support to her for our 2 year old daughter. The child support web site does not support UK billing addresses so i can not use my visa card there, they will not accept money orders, cash, bank cheque made in US Dollas or western union.

Everyone i have called in the UK, Courts & Child support agencies say that it is out of their durestiction. I have called an agency called REMO who are the go between the foreign courts and the UK courts, they told me the courts here in the UK need a court order from the state of which my Ex Wife lives in instructing the courts here in the UK allowing me to pay child support through them.

I looked at the form to make this adjustment to the courts in the US but need a US notery public in her state to sign it which i can not do since im now back in the UK. So I'm i stuck and not able to pay the child support?

How I am supposed to pay child support now? does anyone know??

Please Help
