Default Weasel brother swipes $450,000, leaves mother and brother penny-less

My father dies and leaves my mom in deep debt. Father has carry-down trust of a house from my grandmother who wanted house left to father and brother from 25 years ago. Two names left on trust, brother and fathers only. Brother sells house without our knowledge for 450,000. House was a rental used for my mothers living expenses. (She is on the very minimum soc. sec,) and house she is living in is her's but has $50,00 owed on it. We have no money to retain an Attorney. Are there attorneys out there who will work without up-front charges?

[Brother sells house without our knowledge for 450,000.]

Did not you have to sign as well? How did he actually do that?

Well if the father and brother names are on the trust and father dies then brother by right can sell the house without anyone signature. By it was a rental you didn't know when people was in the house looking at it. And you never thought your brother would do that. Maybe your brother have a conscience where he will pay off his mother's house

OK thanks but no more comments please. We are presently seeking an attorney we can afford. He also owes my mother $43,000 in taxes amongst other illegal matters he has done to us both. Unfortunately this is a cross country case. He has re-located 3,000 miles away. If there is an attorney here on the forum who is interested in helping please PM me, More than $500,000 is to be collected.

Confused Re: Weasel brother swipes $450,000, leaves mother and brother penny-less

Have an attorney that will handle under contingency and who agrees to do all the footwork on this, BUT wants nearly 50%. Is this the best deal I can get???
