Confused Who Gets the Dog?

I am just starting the divorce process. I got our dog, Maya, 2 years before we got married. I have 2 receipts for the dog with my maiden name on it - one for the deposit & one for when we picked her up.

My husband is threatening to turn this into WWIII for custody of the dog.

If this goes to a judge...what's the likely outcome?

Default Re: Who Gets the Dog?

If you had the dog before marriage you normally get to keep it.
