Unhappy defacto separation baby involved

Melbourne Victoria.I have separated from my defacto relationship and i am 6 months pregnant. I live in melbourne and i want to move to adelaide to live and work there is it best to move before the baby is born, because i was told that if i move to adelaide after the baby is born my ex can go to the courts and put a stop to me ever leaving melbourne. can someone pls help or give me the right answer as to how it really is. I have asked one lawyer and they said i can live where i want that he can't stop me but then i have a friend tell me that their ex girlfriend went through the same thing as me and her ex was able to stop her through the courts from leaving melbourne.
