Default How long is a "week"???

My daughter spends every other weekend with her father, when summer comes she spends one week there each month (as well as every other march break), my question is this, is it right that they pick her up on the regular Firday (that should be thier weekend)keep her the following week (mon-fri)and bring her back on the Sunday (of my weekend) THEN the next weekend they pick her up Fri-Sun again. They believe that the weekend she should be with them does not count towards the \"week\" they have the child. This gives them 3 weekends per month in the summer ... I believe the \"week\" should be from thier regular Friday to the following friday as my weekends should start then.

Please let me know if I am correct.

Is it right that they are responsible for 100% of the transportation?
If you think she should come back earlier, let them know what day you will be picking her up.

Yes it is correct, they live about 1 1/2 hours away. If it were that easy I would have done that years ago... I have been fighting this for 10 years now. My question is: does thier weekend count towards the 7 days when they have her for a "week"? All I want is my weekend in between.

Am I wrong ?

It all depends upon the actual wording of you custody decree. Nobody on this forum is going to know what that is.
If the decree is not specific in some areas, most courts have "default visitation orders" that pick up the slack.
