Default nursing home decisions

My elderly father developed psychiatric symptoms( severe cognitive
impairment) which resulted in his making decisions which threaten his life
He should be admitted to a nursing home but he refuses to give his
consent. What procedures should be followed?

You may want to consult first with social services; they can also help you
get a court order if need be...world law's attorneys could also intervene if necessary.
